Don't pass me by.

Thank god it's friday! Long weekend! Well i get a four day weekend, so that's even better! Can not wait to chill, and have a lot of fun!

Here's a few projects of late: A jumper i made last week and a tee i finished today! I am still experimenting with materials and techniques. I have a few vintage pieces i want to alter, i have had since the end of last year! So i think i will do that today as well.  I really like the two crosses and the upside cross, you may see a lot more of this over the next few weeks.

It’s the possibility of having a dream come true that makes life interesting.

I love my floral blazer.

Lately i have been thinking what else i can do as well as modeling. I have been talking to everyone and anyone that is willing to listen to my ramblings. A few things have stood out to me! So my ball is going to be rolling soon. Ha, never mind me. So tomorrow is going to be filled with little projects i am working on and i am also sending my friend a jumper i made.  I may even sit in the sun and drink a coffee. Who knows. My ideal winter wardrobe is comfy clothes. Jeans, blazers, over sized jumpers, socks, stockings...So i may do some shoppping too! I was up early this morning and it was super cold. It made me so excited for winter! Now i don't need an excuse as to why i am so pale! Now everyone can join my whiteness. I have fallen in love with Jeffery Campbell shoes (JC). There are so many that i want to purchase yet have to refrain myself before i have a life time of debt. I think it's for the best. Otherwise i will be like Carrie from Sex and The City I’ve spent $40,000 on shoes and I have no place to live? I will literally be the old woman who lived in her shoes!”

JC wedges: It's basically love at first sight.

They're not a want, they're a "i need them right this minute".

Fabulous Freja the ballerina.

It doesn't feel like Monday. Today has more of a Saturday feel to it. Except it is normally crappy weather on the weekend up here lately and today's blue sky stretches forever. I have had the best long weekend. Very eventful. Here is my first post of the week.

Danish model Freja Beha is amazing. Such an edgy girl. And i love her tattoos. She has 16! I can't wait to get more! This editorial is sublime. I love the femininity of the styling, and the edginess that Freja projects. Freja takes the classic depiction of a ballerina to the next level. It's ballerina meets rocker- and I LOVE it ! Freja's legs are endless. They just seem to keep going! Over and out.

Bec & Bridge W 2010

Becky Cooper and Bridget Yorston from "Bec and Bridge" will be showcasing their talents for the third consecutive Rosemount Australian Fashion Week! This just goes to show they have established themselves as one of Australia's leading labels. I love their designs, they're so young, modern and chic! Their "High summer 09/10" had some AMAZING pieces. Here is their winter range 2010 (winter 2)

Ye olde faithful Mondays.

I am long legged and i have always found it hard to find skinny jeans that fit my legs...They always seemed to just touch my ankle(ANNOYING). That was until 3 years ago i discovered "Cheap Mondays". Cheap Monday was founded in 2004 as a budget complement to the more high-end brands offered at stores like: Örjan Andersson, Lasse Karlsson & Adam Friberg's in Stockholm. Cheap Monday was first intended as an in-store only commodity, but when the first 800 pairs of unwashed skinny jeans sold out within the first week, the crew of "Cheap Monday" knew they had good things coming to them. Cheap Monday has stayed true to the initial idea of offering a high fashion level products at a price anyone can afford( Most pairs are only $90). The jeans and their other products can now be found in over 1500 stores in over 30 countries all over the world. I remember when i first started wearing them in 2008 they were so hard to find. I bought my first pair (Photo below) in Byron Bay at a shop called Pompidou. My first pair has served me well. The only fault is that a few weeks back i pulled at the belt loop to pull them up and i broke it off! But, it gives them a bit of character now.

I went on a shopping spree last month to start my winter wardrobe and found some Mondays that i really liked but my ankle would not fit through the leg hole. You're probably thinking "well try a bigger size". You see, i used to wear a 25 in them but now i'm a 24. So if i had have gone with the next size up they would have stretched at the waist. Anyway, i then discovered another pair i loved and adored so i bought them and that's basically the story. Not that interesting, BUT i did discover that Cheap Mondays are now doing a hipster style of jeans. Weird to think because they started off only doing high-waisted numbers.  When i wear hipster jeans now i feel odd for the first few hours cos i am so used to high waisted jeans. I find myself forever pulling them up all the time!

Soon we'll be found.

KAREN WALKER- May i please have these?

The statues that the necklaces are on, remind me of these ones my mum and Gran used to have on display as i was growing up. I am on the hunt for the perfect skull ring.
Today is the yuckiest weather. If it wasn't for my brolly i would have looked like a drowned rat. I ate oodles of noodles and drank copious amount of green tea this afternoon. Green tea is my favourite. I am so excited for winter. Even though it doesn't get that cold here in Queensland. I am excited for the layering, the jackets, the scarves and the doona days. Tonight i will be watching America's Next Top Model. My boyfriend and I are going to watch back through all 14 season. We are already up to season 3 (2004 episodes). It's funny to see how they act, their styling and their inability to produce a great photo at least 2 weeks in a row in the earliest seasons. But, that's the fun in watching it!

The current season (14) of America's Next Top Model, which is still currently running have some of the most beautiful girls! I have a girl crush on RAINA HEIN, I hope she wins the series. Here's a picture of what she looks like:

RAFW- Less than two weeks away!

12 days til Rosemount- and the count down is on! I can't wait to see the designs and the H and MU. Wishing the girls from Dallys and Chic all the best! Wish i was down there! P.s I love this picture of Samantha Harris. Her lips and everything about her is amazingly beautiful.

Also: we will have some great international guests this year including bloggers Susie Lau from Stylebubble, Tommy Ton from Jak and Jil and well respected fashion writer Tim Blanks from Style.com. How very exciting! Oh, i can't wait.

PROGRESS...

Here's the new header...Still a work in progress, but it's something! Yeahhh, it's all coming together so nicely. As i said in my last post: WATCH THIS SPACE!

Time awaits

I am in the process of making my logo and creating my blog. I just need time. I promise it is going to blow you away. Until then it's just going to be this basic, crap template. So, watch this space for some renovations.

A few of my loves of today. I love this style of jewelery.

My friend and I went shopping today in Burleigh and she bought a really cool ring. I am a bad friend, she didn't want to get it right then and there. but i talked her into it. It was a really cute Samantha Wills ring. Such a nice range of jewelery and at such a good price! We also went Op shopping but we both came home empty handed. I always think i am going to discover something absolutely amazing , but only on the rare occasion do. So annoying.

Everything you see is not always the truth.

Happy Monday. First day of the week. This is a shirt made by my boyfriend. Cheap shirt and digitally printed. I Love it. I stole it and claimed it as my own. Actually, i happen to do that with a lot of his clothes. Style tip: Wear your boyfriends clothes.  I bought this nail polish on the weekend. I love the colour. Big fan of nudes and browns as well. Weeeeee.

Diamonds are forever.

A parcel came today! I was rather excited! It was my birthday nearly a month ago and i'm still receiving presents!

My parents sent me a book... "Dreaming of Dior". I have wanted this for a while. I didn't even know my mum knew! She has a way with memory though. I can't wait to start reading it!

The long gold necklace is from my brother. He messaged me saying "what do you want for your birthday"....Ta da, this is what he chose! I love it! It's perfect and totally me. It was well worth the three week post birthday wait! The brand is Soop and its from a cute boutique called "MUSHU" in Balmain, Sydney.

Today will be spent looking through my new book and looking up fashion design courses. The future is scary.

Girl crush.

I didn't know what to expect with Jess Hart's line. All i knew was i loved how she dressed and presented herself on her own blog Jess Hart, so i kept faith that it would be awesome. I love Jess! I love her unique look and her trademark gapped-toothed smile. I think through her pictures she depicts a really fun laid back chick. I also like that she is donating a percentage of the profits to children's charity DestinyRescue.

House of Harlow 1960..

In October 2008, Nicole Richie debuted a jewellery line, House of Harlow 1960. House of Harlow 1960 is a collaboration between Mouawad and Nicole Richie.

I never really gave it a second thought until i saw it in a magazine last week, because A)  i don't really like Nicole Richie and B) Collaborations by B grade celebrity are usually crap. But i will admit, the line is quiet lovely and it is reasonably priced as well.

Love like a sunset...

I had Mac and Cheese for lunch and now i think my stomach hates me. Apart from that my day was productive. I had a bit of fun this afternoon. I made some jumpers with my boyfriend weeks back and here is the end product. We bought some cheap over sized jumpers and bleached them with patterns we made. This is the first one we made, and there is another with abstract shapes and a white one which i obviously couldn't bleach so instead sprayed with black clothes dye. Note: The dye does stain. Especially tiles and uh, the ceiling.
