So I'm pretty stereotypical when It comes to Instagram - but let's be serious here, you can't really not be. If you like photos of food, quick outfit shots, Bambi updates, Selfies (what a horrible contraction of a word), more food and coffee - Then my IG is right up your IG-Alley.

Now it's sad for me to write this...I won't be attending MBFWA this year due to work commitments! Next year I am going to be all over it like a rash!!  Instead I am going to live vicariously through a lot of my fellow Australian bloggers for the next five days. Looking through their twitter feeds and I.G accounts, and what not! Jonathan already thinks my phone is an extension of my hand - he doesn't know what he's in for this week.

Some looks that have caught my eye lately are the images above - and If I were attending I would have put my own spin on these on-trend looks

1.  Fashion normally trumps comfort. But not in the case of PJ dressing!

2.  I wasn't too fussed on sport luxe - but in recent weekend I have been loving it!

3.  Fur! I love knowing the weather is cooling and I can unleash jackets, vests and FUR. Sorry Peta.

4.  Prints. But in my head I would have clashed some prints. Print and I are a match made in heaven.

Happy Monday, Ally xo

Young and In Love

Hey Guys!

How has your weekend been? I made a conscious effort to enjoy my time off despite the horrid weather that graced the so called "Gold Coast".

These neon Cheap Mondays have been on very high rotation lately. I fervently love them. I think I may need to hold back for a little bit and hide them from myself. It's kind of like my relationship with chocolate. I love it too much and I find myself eating too much. Subsequently I have to hide it so I don't overindulge. So basically, I am a neon/chocolate junky.

Inges Jacobsen

I always enjoy seeing another medium used with photographs. I have seen photographs drawn on, painted on, burnt, sewn etc before but these are just stunning. I wish that I could touch my screen and feel the textures!!

See more of Inge Jacobsen's work on her site here

Possibly the hardest decision I've had to make thus far in my life.

A) Do I buy 6.67, 30c cones from McDonalds or B) This fluro nail polish. (Both equally as great. Both only $2.00).

We had a winner. And at $2.00 it's a pretty cool polish, you only need two coats and a top coat (which I was pleasantly surprised about). BUTTER LONDON and OPI are shaking in their boots just hearing that.

Hope you had a wicked weekend.

And I know that you're busy too I know that you care

And I know that you're busy too
I know that you care
You got your finger on the pulse
You got your eyes everywhere

And it hurts all the time when you don't return my calls
And you haven't got the time to remember how it was
It's so cold in this house
It's so cold in this house

Amanda Smith shot by Susanne Kindt - both as amazing as each other. Amanda's features are otherworldly. Her red hair and freckles are just so stunning.  I have been thinking of what colour I want to dye my hair next and Amanda's hair is kind of making me want to go red.

I've been looking for the sun

My favourite thing about vintage apart from no one else I know owning the same pieces as me, is the beautiful styles and well made garments. Something which is hard to come across in modern designs. I don't know if it's my washing techniques or the brands I buy, but I seem to only get a few wear out of certain pieces before they stretch like a biatch and I end up looking like I bought a Moo Moo. I'm going to go with the latter.

This yellow number is so beautiful - and I fell in love with the bow necktie when we shot it.

You can buy this vintage dress at along with many other new pieces!

Love list

1. Nixon "The Spur" Watch - I love Nixon watches, you all know that by now. I do like the Michael Kors rose gold, but I feel like I see it far too often now. Kind of like when everyone got on board with that darn turquoise YSL ring. So I think this watch is a nice alternative!

2. Dion Lee Intersection Shirt - Wow, this shirt Is so amazing. I love how the structured panel is juxtaposed by the sheer sides. What a shame Dion Lee isn't showing at MBAFW this year - I would fly down in a heartbeat.

3. Ellery Catseye - No wonder I love these, After uploading this image I realised they're really similar to my House Of Harlow Chelsea's! Blonde moment #800

4. House Of Harlow Triangle cuff - I love how danty and subtle this piece is. Come join my arm party, please!

5. Midas Adore boots. I'm still yet to find a style of boot that I love for this winter. I feel like I want to love this style  but every time I try them on they don't seem to suit me! I love the idea of these and the soft colour is gorgeous.

Happy Tuesday!

Makeup Video/ Tutorial April 9th 2012

Hey guys! I have had a few readers ask about how I do my makeup and a few friends suggested I should do a makeup video! I was up for a challenge, so here Is my first ever makeup tutorial video!

It's bizarre watching yourself do such a mundane thing to begin with, but after some great editing and hearing a favourite song over the top of the video I love it!

I really want to do more of these, so I will try. I get a lot out of watching the entire process - from the filming, to the editing, to the rendering of the video. It really is a fulfilling project.

I hope you enjoy my first makeup tutorial. We chose to have the video at a high speed and then to slow it down when I wanted you to see a technique or finished effect as I wanted you to see the entire process and not cuts here, there and everywhere. There is music but I chose a song which built up momentum, like my makeup look.

Enjoy! And if you have any feedback, my eyes and ears are open!
