Wind in my hair

WEARING: Shoes c/o Tony Bianco, Jeans old Ksubi style customised by me, Leopard belt General Pants, D&G sunglasses c/o Shadesdaddy, Tank c/o Mad Love, House of Harlow ring from my friend and Karen Walker necklace

It's a skill to stand in heels in gale force wind and not fall head over, uh, heels. I'm not saying I have it down to a fine art, but I did manage to escape unharmed. Though, I may need one litre of Pantene's finest de-tangler.

Ankle boots have always been one of my weaknesses. But who would go weak at the knees when they saw these all leather boots? I love the side gusset detailing and the hook shape heel is different from any other pair of boots I own - so they really are the perfect addition to my shoe collection! I think you will see these feature a lot on Unknown Pleasures!!

Come and Follow TB on Facebook here! They always have the best competitions running!

PS: We have new stock in store tomorrow for WKB!!! YAY!!!

i can hear you call

☠ WHOKILLEDBAMBI | Check my brain tee | you can buy it here

☠ Vintage pants made in to shorts

Mimco, Vintage and general pants bracelets

☠ Vans from CCS

Breo watch

☠ Skateboard from CCS

Karen Walker Necklace

I haven't done an outfit post for a while - so I feel rather slack. Sorry! Normally my outfit posts are done over the weekend, but most weekends lately I have been too busy!

I have been wanting Vans for ages. I went through a Converse stage, but now I don't like them so much...I thought I would give Vans a whirl. Jonathan got them for me from CCS for only $44.95 or something. Crazy price compared to every retailer in Australia which charge around $89.95. I dunno, I just can't really justify paying nearly $100 for canvas sneakers I'd rather spend that $100 on heels.

Hope everyone is having a lovely Tuesday!

Funland

(One Teaspoon tee, Lee Jeans, Sportsgirl Shoes, Breo Watch, Karen Walker N/lace, Tiffany and Co Bracelet, House of Harlow Sunglasses)

If you follow me on Twitter, you would have seen all the kilometres we traveled recently. We went from the Gold Coast all the way down to Narooma (South Coast NSW), stopping at places in between! It is such a beautiful drive - though I am in no rush to be in a car for that long any time soon!

The South Coast is one of my favourite places in Australia. The water is the clearest blue and the endless green fields really are gorgeous. If you haven't seen this part of New South Wales I would suggest that you book a little getaway over summer!

The place featured in these photos is "Funland" in Ulladulla. Every time we drive through Ulladulla we say "We should stop there", but we never actually do! So finally on the way back to Sydney we stopped in, had a look around, grabbed some lunch from a little bakery and tried to look through a vintage/retro shop in a side alley. It was impossible to look through their over stocked racks. It is my absolute pet hate going shopping when a shop is holding too much stock. I normally walk straight out (cursing them).

Happy Tuesday!

Across the Universe

So for the past couple of days I've been whinging to Jonathan that my House of Harlow Chelsea sunglasses still hadn't arrived. Little did I know there was a slip from Australia Post in my letter box from the 31st of August - yes last Wednesday. At the place we live, normally the postman buzzes our intercom to come down and pick up our parcels, but for some reason he didn't this time. On Friday night I even sent the place I bought them from an email asking where they were (unbeknownst to me  they were actually at my post office waiting for me). Yesterday was a public holiday here (yay, three day weekend) so I couldn't pick them up until today! It was well worth the wait, as I am so in love with them!

Keep a look out for a new space for The Unknown Pleasures. It's going to look amazing, I promise! Have an awesome weekend guys!

fire and the thud

It's never happened to me before! And when I say that,  I mean me liking brown/ tan accessories more than my trusty black! Since buying my boots last weekend I have been noticing that I am gravitating towards all things brown! It's a brown Vs black sort of afternoon.

(Clockwise from top left)

1. Alibi hat - I have a tan version of this but the dark brown looks cute as well!

2. Marcs hat - Seems like it's the perfect amount of floppy. If that makes sense!

3. House of Harlow Sunglasses - I was so happy when I stumbled across an article on Nicole Ritchie saying she was now adding Sunnies to her collection. Who better else than the sunglass queen herself to design sunglasses!

4. Finsk heels - So wish I could justify paying this much for heels I'd probably only wear once.

5. Chaos and Harmony wedges - A new, New Zealand brand! I think they look like a mix between Opening Ceremony and Surface to air

6. Karen Walker Number One Sunglasses - Karen you're my fav.

wild rumpus

What I am wearing:
Knit- Wrangler
Shorts- I. D. S
Leather- Alice In The Eve
Aviators- Ray-Ban
Shoes- Pulp
Bag- Markets
Rings- Markets
Necklace- Karen Walker
Watch- Nixon

This has to be one of the most comfortable outfits I own. I am loving knits with a bright/ fluorescent bra worn under them at the moment. It adds a little something to the outfit. The photos don't really pick up on the bra sorry. I also love my little rust shorts! For two reasons actually! 1) Loving this dominant autumn colour 2) They give the illusion of being a pleated skirt as the pleats are so close together.

I wore this on our last day in Sydney. We were walking around Paddington when we stumbled across this little alley (so did a homeless man). How cute are the frames hanging on the exposed brick? I couldn't resist whipping out the camera for a quick photo or six. Ha ha. We bought a camera bag just before we left, so now it's easier to take it everywhere. Before we we just wrapping it in a cloth bag and put it in my handbag and it didn't feel all that safe.

I was pretty excited seeing a little print of Max on the wall as well. Where The Wild Things Are was my favourite book as a child and I adore the movie too. Have you listened to the sound track from the movie? It was produced by Karen O, and is seriously amazing. If you haven't already download the soundtrack to WTWTA, your life will be changed.

PS: Seriously digging my YSL lippy. Can not get enough of it.

cut that city

Introducing a couple of new loves in my life.

1. Bobby Brown Powder: It's long wearing and I love the cute little compact.

2. YSL mascara: Absolutely amazing. This one in particular gives the "false" lash finish without having to spend hours getting that result. Have you all seen the so called "permanent" lashes a lot of girls are getting? I'm not a fan. Just a couple of coats of this baby will do you!

3. YSL Lipstick: Everyone needs a red lipstick and this one is like velvet on your lips. It's amazing how much a quick coating of red lipstick brightens your outfit. Just don't go wearing it on your teeth- that's never a good look.

4. M.A.C foundation: A staple of mine. Too scared to change brands. Studio fix is great as you can wear it light during the day and build it up at night.

5. Bobby Brown Primer: Smells so good I feel like eating it. Seriously. Oh and it makes your skin ultra smooth without making it oily! Make sure you opt for an oil free primer otherwise your face will look like you've dunked your face in a deep fryer. Eww.

6. Karen Walker robot necklace: Oh so cute. A keepsake that's for sure. I love having things you can look back on and say "I got this for my birthday". Thanks Jonathan.

7. Rings from the markets: I love these so much. Pretty sure I have worn them everyday since the 25th.

A daydream lasts a lifetime

Saturday 1/1/11 4:46pm.

I can not believe we have said goodbye to another year. Is is me of did '10 go a little too fast? I did a lot last year but i feel like it passed me by just that little too fast. I don't mind though, as i am way too excited to start this new year. I am way more focused and as I said to my boyfriend today "This year is my year- I'm going to make it my bitch". Not that I am the first person to ever say it, but I am going to make it happen. I want a lot of things in the coming months- and I'm not afraid of a bit of hard work to get there.

I bought a new scrap book today to document a new year. I normally do one every year. So I'm going to continue that tradition! I love keeping memories in a book so i can look back and get that warm, fuzzy feeling! I also bought some Karen Walker earrings- I can't seem to get enough of her jewelery lately!

Here's a look back on my year. I hope you got something out of 2010. There's no worse feeling than feeling like you haven't grown as a person. I feel extremely luck to have grown and i can't wait for this time next year to add more to my list.

1. Kikki-K diary- Brand spanking new!
2. Mimco Keyring- Love the little saying on it
3. Karen Walker skull earrings- FIRST purchase of the year.
4. OPI nail varnish- Still love my black nail varnish
5. Urban Original wallet- Fits so much in it

Here's to an awesome new shiny year! I freaking can not wait for it.

"Bling" is such a horrible word. If i were to use it, i would say "this is my new so called bling". But, i never do use it. If you read my blog regulary you probably notice i have two new accessories. I thought i'd give you a closer look! So here is my new Tiffany & Co bracelet and Karen Walker necklace.

Happy New Year Lovers,

Machine in the ghost

I kind of feel like a stalker when i wear this shirt with Aggy's face plastered on the front. I love/ admire her. I secretly wish the image was just that little bit bigger, just so it was even clearer to those walking past me. If Aggy knew her face was printed on this shirt, I'm sure she'd be very proud. Who wouldn't want their entire face on a shirt?

The hat: This is stolen... Stolen from Jonathan's wardrobe. My mum even asked "Do you guys share that hat". It was more of an extended borrow for this trip. I have the most hideous regrowth and this little black piece of felt was a very convenient way to disguise my bad hair week. I keep telling everyone that i have balayage, but I'm pretty sure that joke is well and truly over. Sad but true. I think it's time to contact my hairdresser and tell her I'm in desperate need of new hair.

Still not over the comfort of these pants. They're heaven. Conveniently casual or conveniently not...Either way I love wearing them,

Hope your planning some cool things for tomorrow night!

Soon we'll be found.

KAREN WALKER- May i please have these?

The statues that the necklaces are on, remind me of these ones my mum and Gran used to have on display as i was growing up. I am on the hunt for the perfect skull ring.
Today is the yuckiest weather. If it wasn't for my brolly i would have looked like a drowned rat. I ate oodles of noodles and drank copious amount of green tea this afternoon. Green tea is my favourite. I am so excited for winter. Even though it doesn't get that cold here in Queensland. I am excited for the layering, the jackets, the scarves and the doona days. Tonight i will be watching America's Next Top Model. My boyfriend and I are going to watch back through all 14 season. We are already up to season 3 (2004 episodes). It's funny to see how they act, their styling and their inability to produce a great photo at least 2 weeks in a row in the earliest seasons. But, that's the fun in watching it!

The current season (14) of America's Next Top Model, which is still currently running have some of the most beautiful girls! I have a girl crush on RAINA HEIN, I hope she wins the series. Here's a picture of what she looks like:
