Skips on the record

I'd like to think when wearing these "Loafers", "Slippers" that I look more fashion and less Hugh Hefner. I bought these ones from Rubi and decided that If I don't end up liking them, then it's okay because they're only $29.95.

I am so in love with these soft, satin, scalloped hemmed shorts. They were a staple whilst I was away. The colour is perfect for summer and they go with EVERYTHING

the chronicle

It has taken me a while to find a watch that is the same size as my MASSIVE black Nixon Chrono. Any time I try on a watch any smaller I feel naked. So here I give you the Nixon Chronicle - with a wooden face. I could not find the wooden face version on the Nixon Website - but you can find it's siblings here. Isn't it beautiful? I adore the wooden dial. I want this for Christmas. Shit - I can't believe that's the second time lately I have mentioned something I want for Christmas.

Last of my kind

Lately I have been wearing way too many pants and jeans, so consequently I feel a little bit boyish ( and even more so now I have short hair). I said to Jonathan that I want to start wearing more dresses and skirts come spring. I think they suit spring perfectly so it should be an easy task to stick with.

When I was out running errands yesterday I stumbled across this amazing vintage skirt. I knew I had to buy is so I could start the pact I made to myself early. So here's to dressing a little more feminine.

Happy Hump Day! Today Is going to be a good day!

What is this bright huge ball in the sky?? WELCOME BACK SUN.

Last night I walked home in the rain. An umbrella isn't something that I pack in my bag in the morning for the off chance it could be raining when I'm venturing home. I wish I did pack one though. I was a  drowned rat head to toe - and the wind made the fact I was so wet even worse. So my arms are wide open to the brilliant brightness of the sun today. I just may go out and sit in it while i finally have some breakfast. I seemed to forget to eat it when I first woke up.

Yay, for it being Friday - that means that some weekend fun is only hours away!

Have a good one dudes.

Basic space

Hey Guys! How has your weekend been? Mine has been productive, yet relaxing. I op-shopped my heart out and scored some truly awesome clothing, ate yummy food and drank a little too much sangria (How good is that stuff - seriously).

My vintage tartan pants are all kinds of awesome.  Warm enough to keep the autumn chill off my legs, but just the right length not to swelter if you get caught wearing them on a day where the weather changes suddenly. I am actually really loving jeans and pants that are neatly tailored and ankle-showing. There is something incredibly sexy and feminine about the length. There seems to be a lot of  ankle celebration going on out there. Oh and to the girls out there wanting to appear taller - showing off your ankles in skinny pants makes you look taller!

I received some sad news this afternoon and It really put things into perspective for me. So this week I have decided to work extra hard to get to where I want to be. After all life too short to waste time.

A flame for freedom

To mix things up I thought I'd shoot two outfits I absolutely dig at the moment. I didn't take into consideration the softness of the soil and grass for stiletto heeled boots, so because of that you can't see the two different styles of boots I wore- which is a down right shame!! You may recognise the style of dress from the East of Grey shoot I did a few months. I loved it so much Kim made me one for my birthday!

Do you recognise the location? We braved going back out west to the abandoned house because we both absolutely love the rows of trees and the light that peeks through the branches.

What I am wearing

Outfit one: Red tights H&M, Electric zombie tee, nixon watch, Mimco bracelet, Ebay boots, asst jewellery
Outfit two: East of Grey dress, Steve Madden boots, Nixon watch, Mimco bracelet, asst jewellery

Have an awesome weekend!

wild rumpus

What I am wearing:
Knit- Wrangler
Shorts- I. D. S
Leather- Alice In The Eve
Aviators- Ray-Ban
Shoes- Pulp
Bag- Markets
Rings- Markets
Necklace- Karen Walker
Watch- Nixon

This has to be one of the most comfortable outfits I own. I am loving knits with a bright/ fluorescent bra worn under them at the moment. It adds a little something to the outfit. The photos don't really pick up on the bra sorry. I also love my little rust shorts! For two reasons actually! 1) Loving this dominant autumn colour 2) They give the illusion of being a pleated skirt as the pleats are so close together.

I wore this on our last day in Sydney. We were walking around Paddington when we stumbled across this little alley (so did a homeless man). How cute are the frames hanging on the exposed brick? I couldn't resist whipping out the camera for a quick photo or six. Ha ha. We bought a camera bag just before we left, so now it's easier to take it everywhere. Before we we just wrapping it in a cloth bag and put it in my handbag and it didn't feel all that safe.

I was pretty excited seeing a little print of Max on the wall as well. Where The Wild Things Are was my favourite book as a child and I adore the movie too. Have you listened to the sound track from the movie? It was produced by Karen O, and is seriously amazing. If you haven't already download the soundtrack to WTWTA, your life will be changed.

PS: Seriously digging my YSL lippy. Can not get enough of it.
