Christmas Holidays

Packing is one of the funnest yet hardest things to do. I never know what to pack when I go away. I usually never plan outfits 'til just before I get dressed in the morning. How I dress reflects my mood for that day - so when I'm away for two and a half weeks, it's near impossible to think up outfits for that entire time. No wonder my luggage is always busting at the seams.

Here's some of the things I packed.

1. Element Eden handbag courtesy of Element Eden team and Vintage clutch
2. Note pad, book and KW jewellery
3. Sportsgirl overnight bag to pack all GHD, make-up and other bits and pieces in to keep it separate from my clothes, vintage necklace and House of Harlow sunglasses
4. Leopard belt via General Pants, Black belt via Myer, Paw Paw, Nail polish and a few rings
5. Bettina Liano shorts (how cute is the scalloped hem) MinkPink Raglan, Wrangler shirt and Element Tee courtesy of Element Eden. This is just a couple of things. So much more was packed! Ha ha.

I may not be able to post as reg as I'd like - but I will have a lot of photos to share when I get back!

MERRY CHRISTMAS! HAVE AN AWESOME BREAK!

Wildflower soul

This vintage jacket is beyond perfection. The black velvet collar/ buttons against the deep red is just beautiful. The colour was the first thing that caught my eye, naturally. But I knew it was meant to be mine because it was my exact size.

The great thing about this little number is that it can be worn casually because of the lightweight fabric and it can take you into the night because of the colour and velvet collar. Not many of my jackets do that!

(Vintage Jacket, Ebay shorts, DIY singlet, Marcs bag, Nixon watch,
Karen walker Necklace, Lavosa ring, Sportgirl heels)

The singlet I paired my red jacket and white lace shorts with was designed and made by Jonathan . He even printed the face on it! I was reunited with it today after finding it at the bottom of my wardrobe! I think it is so, so cute - and not to mention comfortable!

I hope your weekend has been wicked!

oh summer where art thou?

I don't think it's too much to ask for it to warm up just a touch so I can go and rock these Beatnik Seafolly babies at the beach with Jonathan...whilst sipping on many delicious cocktails...and receiving endless massages and facials...then topping the day off with a dinner and long walk.

Ahh, a girl can dream.

The lovely ladies at SUNBURN sent me this rad stripey 'kini and they are super, duper cute on. The frill bottom makes the 'kini - it's such a simple feature yet it changes the overall look of the bikini. Girls who want to look like they have curves or at least some shape should definitely get on board with this bikini as the frills and stripes give you that that illusion! And the even better thing is you can mix and match sizes! None of this "I can't buy this bikini 'cos the top fits but the bottoms are just a bit big" business. You can buy separates so they fit you perfectly!

Have a awesome Thursday! Nearly the weekend! Wooo.

all i need

I have a phobia of feet. They really, really freak me out. I'm not 100% sure why- all I know is I have always had this phobia. That aside...How damn cute are my Sportgirl socks? I love them because they're mustard and because they have little Bambi's on them. You too can have cosy feet this A/W, click here to get your hands on some $12.95 socks. I am going to be wearing these with ankle boots and brogues this winter!

I wish I had wooden floors so I could slide around on them in these sockies.

The hills have eyes

Make sure you read all the text! Tells the story behind these photos.

So, basically these photos were taken at a typical set of a horror movie (pretty much a demolished, abandoned house in a place we had never been before). We watch so many horror movies, that in my head it seemed like something bad was going to happen to us. I was on edge the entire time we were at this property, so i'm surprised we got good photos! In a lot of the in between shots I looked like I was going to pee my pants. I had the most troubled expression on my face. I kept expecting someone to run out with a knife or hold us captive because we were trespassing where they were squatting.

Towards the end of shooting, two cars rocked up. I was stressing out- because it's not a place to hang out at all, but they looked like they were setting up camp. They parked behind our car and started beeping their horn. I kept saying to Jonathan, "what are they gonna do?". I think I was just assuming the worst because I already had a picture in my head about this place. It was just strange though because the dudes go out of their cars and went to the boot and then they took their shirts off. I'm thinking to myself, "great they're tough guys and they're mad they can't get past our car, so they're probably reaching for a crow-bar as we speak". In hindsight I know that's pretty ridiculous- but when you're in that environment, your mind thinks up some extraordinary things.

The place was so bloody eerie. You can see the extremity of the the destruction in the photo above. Everything was broken. Graffiti everywhere. I guess this proves the "broken window effect" to be a fact. It's just weird to think someone has just abandoned a house in a not so secluded area. It's only a 20 minute drive west of the Gold Coast.

This whole outfit post was such an adrenaline rush. On the drive home, I was saying how exciting and awesome the experience was. It's funny how your brain does that, you can be scared one minute, but as soon as you're removed from the situation it becomes a great encounter. Though, having said that I'm in no rush to get back to the house.

The funny thing is- the dudes that rocked up are probably telling a similar story. "There were a guy and chick at the house when we rocked up. The girl was in this pretty pink dress, high heels and some sort of floral head wear. Who wears that in the middle of no where, not to mention at an abandoned house? I think she was a touch over dressed". "And why was they guy following her with a camera".

Yesterday was the best day I have ever had. Was a really, really busy day but it was so awesome. I went op shopping, went to Bunnings, went shopping, got some wrays, went for a drive, shot these, went out for dinner, go drunk, walked home in the rain. Positive, happy energy all round!

Hope you all had a super rad weekend.

Happy Valentines Day!
