DIY Nails

Hello!

So last night when I got back from Sydney, I thought "my nails look gross after being at a hens weekend, so I better do them before anyone else sees them (same goes for my hair)". So this is how I did them. A little different to how I normally would do nails, but I have been doing different things lately like my mustache nails I had last week which we so rad...If you look on my instagram you'll see them

I posted a pic of my nails last night and everyone loved them, so i thought I'd show you all what products/ how to do them

What I used:

Chi Chi "blonde ambition" and Chi Chi "Kim wannabe Hilton" (haha cool name for those who don't like either Kim Kardashian or the ol' Paris Hilton). Anywhoo. Oh and I also just used a skewer (the type you use to cook with). It's a lot easier to apply the glitter polish with a skewer than the brush as you have more control.

How to achieve this glitter ombre effect:

1. Paint a base coat

2. Follow by one coat of the nude/pink. Repeat this step

3. Take brush out of the glitter polish and put to side. Dip in the skewer and then with another skewer dab small amounts of polish on nail as close to cuticle as possible. Allow to dry.

4. Add more (considerable amount) near cuticle. Allow to dry

5. Now add bits here and there from half way up your nail finishing with a couple of solo specks near the tip of the nail (you're after a scattered effect - see photos

6. Finish with top coat! WOOT! GLITZ ON YOUR NAILZ!

Hope you try it! It's super easy. Chi Chi nail polish is so great, I would almost say I prefer it to most other brands, plus the price point is really good as well! I'm wearing my nails like this to a wedding this weekend (that's the entire reason why I trialled it last night, but now I think i'll wear it all the time!

Fiel Sol

I have been going crazy over statement necklaces. I just team them with a basic tee or blouse and it instantly makes you feel dressier (even if you are dressed super cas). The brighter, the bigger in my eyes is the better!!

I found these necklaces by Fiel Sol on Instagram after my friend Jas was wearing one. They're super fun and colourful! All made in Sydney too, which was a nicely little factor!

Wilderness

I often find myself going on bush walks in white heels - not only are they the most comfortable hiking shoes, they never seem to get dirty.

I literally got stopped in Coles Supermarket yesterday by a lady who went on to tell me how much she loved my outfit - I was wearing this Vamastyle jumpsuit and some shoes (imagine that). What a sweet lady - I thought she was only going to ask me where to find the milk, but she was full of nice words. It truly made my shopping experience a 10/10 instead of the usual boring 4/10.

I'm going to pretend that I meant to match my nail polish to this jumpsuit - pure genius really and totally organised.

Wearing: Vamastyle Jumpsuit find it here and ASOS heels now sold out soz guys.

That Vintage

I have met some special people over the past 2.5 years on the internet - new age penpals, friends, fellow fashion lovers. They are all amongst some of the kindest/ most generous people I know. We encourage each other, pay each other compliments, ask each other if we're okay if we see they're day is less than amazing etc, etc - which I guess is some of the finer elements of a friendship. It's weird to think I keep in contact almost on a daily basis with my internet pals,  yet some of my dearest friends I haven't spoken to in years. I love how accessible my internet pals are. It's a new friendship where I know what they're up to most days, I know what they ate for breakfast and all those other little things that make the person. In saying that I find it bizarre I have only heard a few of their voices in that time....These sentences are making me feel more and more like an online predator, so I am going to pull this sentence to a holt and introduce one of my internet/insti buddies: Sophie of That Vintage.

Sophie sent me an array of wooden jewellery goodness the other week and I have been meaning to blog on them since - however a bout of flu and travels have rudely intruded. So here I am, blogging on my fine pieces now with a big smile on my face despite this persistent cough and cold.  GO.AWAY.NOW

I first fell in love with That Vintage when I purchased a little teacup ring from StyleMilk at the Finders Keepers markets last year! I found Sophie on Instagram (@thatvintage), and we've been chatting since! Soph was kind enough to gift me these three items 1) Vintage ornate Fleur 2) Iron Dove Earrings 3) Spring Pop Baloon Earrings

Vamastyle

I have fallen head over heels with my new pieces from Vamastyle. I have been wearing them all so much since I received the, I have been dying to show you, but I haven't had a spare moment to take outfit shots lately (sorry, sorry!!).

I have found that this Cruising You Maxi with it's loose fit and super chic swing hem is perfect for so many occasions. I have been throwing it on over swimmers and wearing with sandals, I have been cinching it in with a low slung belt and high wedge heels and as I work from home I have been wearing it super casual! Super, duper versatile dress if I ever did see one.

I have a couple of other Vamastyle pieces which I will share with you soon! Just as rad and just as comfy

You can see my dress here at Vamastyle and you can stay up to date with all things Vama here on FB

Have an awesome night lovelies, Ally xoxo
