Wildflower soul

This vintage jacket is beyond perfection. The black velvet collar/ buttons against the deep red is just beautiful. The colour was the first thing that caught my eye, naturally. But I knew it was meant to be mine because it was my exact size.

The great thing about this little number is that it can be worn casually because of the lightweight fabric and it can take you into the night because of the colour and velvet collar. Not many of my jackets do that!

(Vintage Jacket, Ebay shorts, DIY singlet, Marcs bag, Nixon watch,
Karen walker Necklace, Lavosa ring, Sportgirl heels)

The singlet I paired my red jacket and white lace shorts with was designed and made by Jonathan . He even printed the face on it! I was reunited with it today after finding it at the bottom of my wardrobe! I think it is so, so cute - and not to mention comfortable!

I hope your weekend has been wicked!

Third photo: Rimmel Coral in Gold"

I thought I would try some new colours rather than my usual go to red or soft pink when I comes to lipstick. But rather then going to Mac or YSL (my usual brands) I thought I would give a cheaper brand a whirl just in case I didn't end up liking them when I got home. They were the exact colours I wanted and to my surprise the texture was really creamy and they were really nice to apply. So it was a Win for me in the cosmetic department today and my purse didn't mind the save either!

Have a good Saturday night everyone!

sunset on my lovers heart

All I can think about is relaxing, drinking some vino, eating good food and enjoying the company of those I love and making my sore throat go away!!! Scram dammit.

I hope all you wonderful people have some fun adventures planned!

Have any of my readers ever been to the op shops in Murwillumbah? If so are they any good? I was wondering whether or not to go on an adventure to there tomorrow.

Hi. Heyy. Horrayyy.

Kept it simple with a black dress, belt, head scarf  and minimal accessories today.  I haven't worn black for a while - which is strange as it used to be my go to colour. Might be a bit of a "boring" outfit, but it's worked for me. Sometimes it's nice to KEEP IT SIMPLE.

Diggin' these JC's. I think they'd be rad in spring.

the chronicle

It has taken me a while to find a watch that is the same size as my MASSIVE black Nixon Chrono. Any time I try on a watch any smaller I feel naked. So here I give you the Nixon Chronicle - with a wooden face. I could not find the wooden face version on the Nixon Website - but you can find it's siblings here. Isn't it beautiful? I adore the wooden dial. I want this for Christmas. Shit - I can't believe that's the second time lately I have mentioned something I want for Christmas.

Summer Daze

Okay, I'm ready for summer now please. I went out today for some coffee with two of my bestfriends. While I was getting ready I found myself in the worst mood, as I had to rug right up and all I wanted to do was wear a cute spring dress, ankle length socks and some brogues.

These photos are so dreamy and exactly where I wish I was right now....

A gift

My Mum gave me this super sleek ORAN card holder a couple of weeks ago when we went down to visit. It is such a great little thing to keep all my cards organised in. I used to love large wallets with lots of compartment etc, but I have now found a love for simple, chic wallets. I find myself using this all leather card holder inside my small Mimco purse now on a daily basis instead of the other monstrosities I used as a teenager. I was going insane for a while as I would just throw all my cards in together and I could never find the one I was after! So now that problem is fixed!

Make sure you stop by the Oran website to see some of their other products.

Have a great Friday! I'll try and get some outfit shots over the next few days!

PS: Thanks again Mumma, I know you'll be reading this.
P.P.S: Mmm, I love the smell of leather. ( I can see lots of people killing me for saying that - SORRY)

I only ever wear my diamond earrings Jonathan got me a couple of Christmas' ago. I don't normally go in for big statement earrings but these ones that were sent to me from Canada are cool. I am digging the use of lace.  I have absentmindedly forgotten the designer - but I will get back to you.

Whoops - just realised I have over featured this Wrangler jumper. It has made an appearance for the second time this week. I promise it was washed. You'd wear it all the time if you knew how comfortable it is.

Somebody that i used to know

Meet the suitcase I bought this afternoon. You have no idea how long I have been hunting one of these down for. All the ones that I have wanted have been close to $100 - and I didn't really want to pay that much! Today I found this one at an Op Shop I have never been to before. It was only $20!! An old man was telling me how much it suited me and that it was going to be "great for traveling" - when I told him I actually wanted to put four legs on it and turn it into a coffee table/storage unit, he looked quite confused. I think he may have thought I was joking...I wasn't - i'll post photos soon once my D.I.Y project is finished.

I'm off on a date with the bf tonight! What to wear!?

Last of my kind

Lately I have been wearing way too many pants and jeans, so consequently I feel a little bit boyish ( and even more so now I have short hair). I said to Jonathan that I want to start wearing more dresses and skirts come spring. I think they suit spring perfectly so it should be an easy task to stick with.

When I was out running errands yesterday I stumbled across this amazing vintage skirt. I knew I had to buy is so I could start the pact I made to myself early. So here's to dressing a little more feminine.

Happy Hump Day! Today Is going to be a good day!

Featured: Vintage Skirt, Joes Brenda Platforms, Wrangler Jumper, Ebay belt, Nixon Watch, Various jewellery and bed hair definitely counts.

As my heart skipped a beat

Tuesday! Ah, two days in and I'm already longing for the weekend. Here's what I am wearing today while I run errands, edit photos and source some stock. I have made a whiteboard list of things I need to get done - so hopefully that keeps me on track.

I'm wearing: Ksubi singlet/dress, Vintage shoes, Vintage Bag, Vintage cardigan, Casio calculator watch, Byron Bay hat, Various jewellery

Coffee Date

Black Coffee Lyrics is my favourite cafe in the whole wide world. Why? Because for the time you're there, you can forget you live on the Gold Coast and pretend you're in a cute little cafe in Sydney or Melbourne or even somewhere overseas. You can lose yourself in your coffee and magazine, while enjoying the company of your friends and pretend you're in a city that has style and culture ( that is until you walk back out on the streets of Surfers)! That's not to say I don't like it here. It's just, sometimes  nice not to eat or drink somewhere that isn't a chain store or a fast food outlet (which is basically all you'll find in Surfers Paradise).

If you're a local be sure to add them on facebook, here.

Have a rad Tuesday guys,

Palm Road

Hey guys,

How has your weekend been? Mine had been relaxing/ eventful.  But I feel like I am coming down with the flu today - I'm so achy. I think a little nap is in order!

This is what I wore today! We went out for coffee just after lunch to this cute little cafe across the road from our place. Jonathan finally got a chance to go with me, after months of me telling him how amazingly awesome their coffee and set up is. I'm so pleased that he loved it! It's always nerve racking suggesting a place to go eat/ have coffee when the person hasn't been there before - cos if they dont end up liking it, you feel really stupid...But I kicked a goal with this one - YAY FOR ME.

In my previous post you'll see that we went to see Harry Potter last night! It was so awesome...and we received a refund and free tickets for next time as they forgot to bring us the food we ordered! So double score. We still got to sit in Gold Class and have fun and we did it for free! I'm kind of sad Harry Potter is over, cos It's been something that I have loved since I was in Primary School. I know there's a lot of people who don't get the attraction of it all, but i am still a fan!

I'm wearing: Vintage shorts, Forever New Bustier, Vintage Cardigan, Urge Boots, Vintage bag, Assorted jewellery and thrifted belt.

It wasn't all that cold here today. I think that's one of the good things about living in Queensland - I can sometimes get away with wearing shorts or dresses without stockings in winter. I loved giving my legs a break from being covered for once!
